Student Life

Each year, the Diocese of Orlando administers the Terra Nova III. After much research, the Dioceses believes this assessment is a better fit for the needs of our students and teachers.

All Souls Catholic School historically scores above average on standardized tests. We use the information provided by the results to examine not only individual student strengths and growth opportunities, but strengths and opportunities for each grade as well as vertical planning for the entire school.

The purpose of the All Souls Catholic School chapter of the National Junior Honor Society is to create enthusiasm for scholarship, stimulate interest in community service, promote leadership, develop character and encourage good citizenship.

Interested students must meet academic requirements established by the National Junior Honor Society. Those who meet these minimum requirements must complete a membership application.  Applications are reviewed by a representative Faculty Council, which assesses the degree to which each applicant meets the high standards of scholarship, service, leadership, citizenship, and character as outlined by the national organization.  

Members are required to attend NJHS meetings, to participate in community service, and to model behaviors that exemplify the standards listed above.

The Yearbook team carries on the tradition of recording and publishing a chronicle of the school year by producing All Souls Catholic School’s annual yearbook. Yearbook activities begin in the fall of 6th grade. Students in grades 6-8 who are interested in journalism, photography and/or graphic design are encouraged to apply for the yearbook staff.  Yearbook students are responsible for developing the theme, layout, photo content and composition, copy writing,  page design with the publisher’s online program, ad sales and marketing, and distribution of the yearbook -- all while meeting strict deadlines established by the publisher. Yearbook meetings are held on a weekly basis both at lunch and after school. Involvement in the Yearbook Club offers students the opportunity to gain life skills, assume the responsibilities of working with people and deadlines, and have fun working as a team -- all at the same time.

The All Souls Athletic Club is the governing board for all athletics at All Souls.  Every parent is encouraged to participate in this club to assist in fundraising efforts and any organizational needs.  The Athletic Club is overseen by Lourdes Dawson, All Souls Athletic Director.

Representing the school in the sports program of the Diocese and participation in other clubs and organizations is a privilege extended to students. There are certain academic and conduct requirements for students who wish to participate.
