How to Give to All Souls

GIVING TO THE ALL SOULS CATHOLIC SCHOOL

There are many ways to support All Souls. Giving can be as simple as writing a check, making a gift in the form of securities, or requesting a matching gift from an employer. You may also choose to make All Souls Catholic School a beneficiary in your will or estate.

ANNUAL FUND

Consistent support of the Annual Fund is on-going and critical, as it is the Annual Fund that provides the crucial complement to the School's yearly tuition. Parents, grandparents, past parents, faculty, staff, and friends form our committed group of supporters who ensure the school’s future. Every gift is important and conveys a vote of confidence in the mission of All Souls Catholic School. Pledge your gift to the annual fund now.

For more information on either becoming a volunteer or making a gift to the Annual Fund, contact a member of the Development Staff.

CASH

The easiest way to give, cash gifts have an immediate impact on All Souls Catholic School and offer you an income-tax charitable deduction. Make checks payable to All Souls Catholic School, and mail to:

MATCHING GIFTS

Many companies support elementary education by matching or multiplying their employee's gifts to All Souls. Often, this benefit is extended to employee spouses, retirees, and board members as well. Before you make a gift, check with your company's personnel office.

APPRECIATED SECURITIES

Gifts of appreciated securities can be particularly beneficial to both you and Pingry. Long-term securities (those held more than a year) earn a deduction on their fair market value on the day of the gift. In addition, neither the school nor the donor is subject to capital gains tax on those securities. Short-term securities earn a deduction on their original cost to you. Gifts of readily marketable securities will be credited at fair market value at the average of the high and low quoted selling price on the date the donor relinquishes control of the asset. We ask that donors making a gift of stock contact the school before the transfer is made, so that we may credit the donor properly.

GIFTS-IN-KIND

Gifts-in-Kind are tangible gifts of personal property, such as artwork, furnishings, books, historical collections, and equipment. Assets related to the educational mission of the School can be deducted for their full fair market value. Personal property unrelated to the School's mission can be deducted at the cost to the donor. For more information on Gifts-in-Kind, contact the Development Office.

PLANNED GIVING

Planned Giving is an effective and mutually beneficial way of giving to All Souls Catholic School. By making a planned gift, you assist All Souls in its mission of providing an academically challenging and distinctive elementary education, while enjoying the benefits of capital gains tax savings, increased income, and income-tax savings. Most importantly, a planned gift maximizes your giving potential while ensuring your future financial security and that of your loved ones.

Anyone who notifies All Souls Catholic School of a planned gift becomes a member of The Vivos Christi Society and will be recognized accordingly in the Annual Report.

CAPITAL CAMPAIGNS

Capital Campaigns support projects not otherwise funded by tuition. We are looking to build a larger school on the property next to our new church located on SR 46.

As a community we benefit from the generosity of those who came before us and it is our obligation to give for the future. When these special projects arise, we ask members of the school community to participate with both an annual gift and a capital contribution. Once again, participation by every family is the key to success.

For more information on Capital Campaigns and making a gift, contact a member of the Development Staff.
